More grocery shoppers are beginning to consider convenience and fresh food

Peru has reached a finalized deal for exporting citrus to New Zealand

California grape shipments experienced a 5% year-over-year increase in week 36, totaling 4,162,533 boxes, up from 3,879,047 the previous year. California continues to dominate the U.S. grape market, producing around 94% of the total crop. However, grape-bearing acreage has been on the decline for five consecutive years, falling to 120,000 acres in 2023. Leading varieties include Flame Seedless, Scarlet Royal, and Autumn King. The 2024 grape season started in May in the Coachella Valley, with production expected to be slightly below the 2020-2022 average but higher than the 2023 season, which was affected by Hurricane Hilary.
