The webinar will start during the pruning period. The main theme is the management and alleviation of tree trunk diseases. Two phytopathologists who specialize in studying grapevines in different climates will discuss and discuss.
Covers the removal of vines, pruning, and the use of chemicals.
Kendra Baumgartner is a research plant pathologist with USDA-ARS and the University of California, Davis, California. Mizuho Nita is an associate professor and Extension grape pathologist with the Alson H. Smith, Jr. Agricultural Research and Extension Center, Virginia Tech.
Baumgartner and Nita will cover trunk disease diagnosis, understanding careful vine removal, pruning decisions, and use of chemical protectants.
